The visitors took the lead through Jeff Legue and then Roy struck his brace but a Juraj Kolnik double got the Panthers within one before Tyler Mosienko made sure of the points.

Cardiff Devils completed a 5-2 victory over Belfast Giants to remain two points further back in second thanks to a pair of goals from Joey Martin.

Matt Keith hit four goals as third-placed Braehead Clan eased past Manchester Storm 8-3 at Braehead Arena.
