Craig Breen makes an early impression

Craig Breen made an impressive start to Britain's round of the Intercontinental Challenge, the Rally of Scotland.

The 23-year-old from Waterford, winner of Rally NI last year, was in a sensational fourth place in his privateer S2000 Ford Fiesta after the two opening night stages at Carron Valley.

The early leader was Britain's Guy Wilks in the UK Peugeot 207, four seconds in front of the Skoda Fabia of reigning IRC champion Juha Hanninen with former Junior World champion P-G Andersson third in a works Proton Satria.

Then came Breen, less than a second behind the leader after seventh and second fastest times on the two night stages.

Sanremo Rally winner Thierry Neuville was fifth for Peugeot with Andreas Mikkelsen rounding out the top six in his Fabia.
