Just over a month after being left on the sidelines, 2014 Irish Road Racing Superbike champion Dan Kneen has secured a deal to race for Valvoline Racing by Padgetts Motorcycles at the 'Big Three' international road races this season.
The 27-year-old Manxman (right), who took his maiden international road race victory in last year's Ulster Grand Prix Superstock Race, will join Bruce Anstey and Cameron Donald in the highly acclaimed Padgetts squad.
Since taking an unprecedented hat-trick at the 2008 Manx Grand Prix, Kneen has been a regular top 10 finisher at the Isle of Man TT, with his best finish coming in the opening Supersport Race in 2010 when he placed fifth.
Speaking prior to last night's Isle of Man TT launch, Kneen said: "I can't thank Clive Padgett enough for giving me this opportunity and I am really excited about getting the chance to work with him and his crew."
Kneen will make his road racing debut with the Padgetts team at May's Vauxhall International North West 200.
