Another second for Jonathan Rea as Bautista lands home win for seventh straight World Superbike success
Alvaro Bautista thrilled his home crowd to once again relegate Jonathan Rea into second spot in the World Superbike Championship.
The rookie rider has now won the season's first seven races, including the new sprint races on the way to hat-tricks in Australia and Thailand.
The seventh came in the first superbike race at this weekend's Motocard Aragon round as the Spaniard once again romped home 15 seconds clear of Rea, who edged Chaz Davies into third by less than half a second.
Bautista and his Ducati machinery has so far proved unbeatable as his championship lead now stretches to 31 points from Rea.
Eugene Laverty came in 15th on his Ducati in Saturday afternoon's first race.
Reigning four-time world champion Rea will have another chance to bag his first win of the season on Sunday, when he attempts to use his Kawasaki machinery to chase down Bautista first in the sprint race (10am BST) and then in the second superbike race at 1pm BST.
