The Irish motorbike awards will return next year backed by headline sponsor Adelaide Motorbike Insurance Services and wil be staged at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on January 21.

Adelaide Motorbike Insurance is administered by Cornmarket Insurance services and managing director and biker Stephen Sutherland is thrilled the company is involved once again.

“Adelaide Motorbike Insurance have been looking after the needs of the biking community for almost 30 years,” said Sutherland.

“We are extremely proud to continue our long standing partnership for one of the most prestigious event in the motorcycling calendar.”

A host of the sports top riders will be in attendance, including British Superbike star Glenn Irwin.

“This is the biggest event of its kind in Ireland, and also I believe in the UK,” commented Irwin.

“It attracts the best calibre riders including world champions past and present, and its also a wonderful opportunity for us to mingle with the fans.

“We have such a heritage in the sport and it’s brilliant to see every discipline share their success under one roof.

“It’s one of my favourite nights of the year and I speak on behalf of the entire motorcycling community by saying we are thrilled the event is back.”

The awards, which were hosted as a successful virtual event on social media in 2020 due to the covid-19 pandemic, will be staged with a reduced capacity and will follow all covid-19 protocols.

In all a dozen awards will be presented including the prestigious Adelaide Irish motorcyclist of the year which has been won on the last six occasions by world superbike champion Jonathan Rea. For ticket enquiries please email tickets@bikeawards.co.uk
