Dovizioso win takes Marquez title bid to wire
Marc Marquez's quest for a fourth Moto GP world championship in five seasons will go to the final race of the year after he finished fourth in Malaysia.
Andrea Dovizioso's victory at the Sepang circuit reduced his rival's advantage to 21 points, but with only 25 points available to the winner in Valencia in a fortnight's time the Italian appears to have only delayed the inevitable.
Ducati recorded their first one-two of the season after Dovizioso overtook team-mate Jorge Lorenzo with four laps to go to claim his sixth win of the campaign, with Johann Zarco holding off Marquez to take third.
Dovizioso has not ruled out the possibility of winning his maiden title, however.
"The points are the reality and you can't change the reality," he told his post-race press conference.
"Even with what Marquez did this weekend, with a difficult weekend, he didn't fall - so for me to gain 21 points, something has to happen.
"But the pressure for sure is quite heavy."
