Eugene Laverty has finally sealed a spot in the line-up for next season's World Superbike Championship.
The Toomebridge rider was dropped by Shaun Muir's Milwaukee Aprilia team, who are switching to BMW machinery in the new year.
He will now ride for Team Go Eleven on a Ducati.
The decision to drop Laverty came as a shock. He was replaced by Jonathan Rea's team-mate Tom Sykes, who had been under-performing in the Kawasaki team in the last two years.
"The past five weeks have been a stressful period so it's great to secure a competitive seat in the end," said Laverty.
"The support from Ducati is reassuring and I'm confident that we will have a package to fight for victory next season. Thank you to Denis Sacchetti and everyone at Team Go Eleven for putting their trust in me."
