Isle of Man TT: Michael Dunlop wins Senior race for Bennetts Suzuki
Michael Dunlop has secured his 15th success at the Isle of Man TT after winning the PokerStars Senior race.
The Ballymoney man, on the Bennetts Suzuki, was 13.3 seconds quicker than Peter Hickman on the Smiths BMW.
Earlier the race was red flagged after Tyco BMW’s Ian Hutchinson crashed on lap two at the 27th Milestone, sustaining a broken femur. He was taken by helicopter to Noble's Hospital.
The race was restarted over four laps and saw Dunlop earn a TT double following his victory in the first Supersport race.
Michael said: "Today we have made the impossible possible on a brand new bike. It was hard work and I was trying to go as easy on the bike as I could. The bike never missed a beat and everyone remembers who won the Senior."
Northern Ireland’s Shaun Anderson was 19th with Brian McCormack and Michael Sweeney 21st and 22nd respectively.
