North West rider taken to hospital after incident in Supersport practice
North West 200 organisers say a rider has been taken to hospital after an incident during Thursday's Supersport practice session.
The rider, who has not been named, has been transferred to receive medical treatment after an incident at the Ballysally Roundabout.
However, clerk of the course Mervyn White has insisted that it is "nothing serious".
Medics and a recovery team attended the site of the incident, while the session was immediately red flagged.
It's the second red flag of the day after the Superstock practice session was also postponed due to an incident involving another rider coming off the track.
On that occasion, medical treatment was not required and racing got back underway quickly.
