Record race winner Alastair Seeley and Adam McLean were in attendance at last night's announcement that BBC Sport NI has extended its deal to broadcast the fonaCAB International North West 200 in association with Nicholl Oils for a further five years, the new deal running from 2020 until 2025.

Event Director Mervyn Whyte MBE commented: "It's great news for the North West 200 and BBC NI to be agreeing an extension to our partnership for another five years."

Most successful competitor Seeley, who has 24 wins around the North West course, said: "It's great to see BBC NI continuing to support the showcase road race of the season.

"I'm training hard and looking forward to the event and if I can bring a couple of British Supersport podiums or wins to the North West it will be a big boost."

The event runs from May 12 to 18.
