Ireland beat the Netherlands 3-2 in their final Group 1 tie in the European Women's Team Championships in Basle to finish third in their group.
The impressive victory against the Dutch was set up by three Ulster players, Chloe Magee of Raphoe beat Gayle Nahuletta 21-14, 21-18; Alannah Stephenson of Alpha beat Alida Chen 21-14, 21-18 and Sinead Chambers of Alpha beat Iris Tabeling 21-17, 21-18 in the three singles matches.
In the men's team event Ireland lost 5-0 to the favourites Denmark in the final tie in Group 1 and finished in third place.
They missed out on second place, losing 3-2 to the Czech Republic. In the final men's doubles Scott Evans and Alpha's Tony Stephenson lead 19-18 in the third set but lost to the experienced Petr Koukal and Jacub Bitman 21-16, 12-21, 19-21.
