World class MMA fighting is coming to Belfast after Cage Warriors confirmed their first ever card to be held at the SSE Arena in May.

Some of the world's leading cage fighters will take part when Europe's leading promotions company host the show on Saturday, May 16.

This will be the first time that Belfast has welcomed Cage Warriors to the SSE Arena, having previously hosted cards run by Bellator and BAMMA.

Cage Warriors will also be going to Cork on September 26 as part of 15 scheduled dates across Europe in 2020, which is a record for the promoters.

“We want to thank everyone in the Irish MMA community for welcoming us back home," said Cage Warriors president Graham Boylan.

“A sell-out for our return to Ireland at CW110 proved that the demand for MMA is huge in the country, and that fans want more of Cage Warriors.

“So, it’s only right that we put more shows in place not just for the fans, but for Irish fighters wanting a proven platform to develop and showcase their skills to the world.

“We are open to working with everyone, and want to make Cage Warriors a platform for fighters across the island of Ireland.”

Tickets go on sale on January 31, but fans can pre-register their interest to get 20% off by going to the Cage Warriors website.
