Frampton must get past Donaire to seal dream fight at Windsor
April 21 has been confirmed as the new date for Carl Frampton's mouth watering clash with four-weight world champion Nonito Donaire at Belfast's SSE Arena.
The fight was originally mooted for April 7 but goes ahead two weeks later with tickets available on January 11.
Frampton can expect a serious test from the 35-year-old Filipino who has the class to derail the Jackal's bid for a dream world title fight at Windsor Park this summer.
Frampton returned to winning ways in November with a solid victory over Mexican Horacio Garcia, 10 months from losing his WBA World featherweight title to big rival Leo Santa Cruz.
The Northern Ireland hero is being lined up for a shot at the winner of the IBF World title clash between Lee Selby and Josh Warrington, which is scheduled for May at Elland Road, the home of Leeds United.
Both bills are part of the growing development of boxing on BT Sport by legendary promoter Frank Warren. The SSE Arena bill should include double Olympic medallist Paddy Barnes.
Meanwhile, James Tennyson and Paul Hyland jr will return to the ring on February 3 at the Europa Hotel.
Both Tennyson and Hyland jnr will aim to keep busy as they wait for a major title opportunity later in the year.
