Cameron Gaw is already relishing next month's IBA Championships following his latest trophy success.

The Donaghadee man lifted the NIBA singles title for the first time following a 21-11 win against Whitehead's Colin Todd at Balmoral Bowls Club.

Gaw will now go head-to-head with Stuart Bennett, the new NIPGL singles king, and experienced Ireland international Gary McCloy, who lifted the Provincial crown, in the Irish showcase event at Ards on September 6-7.

It's been a whirlwind five weeks. Not only did Gaw make a big contribution on his international debut for Ireland, he also pocketed the British Under-25 singles title.

"Everything has happened so quickly, it's difficult to take it all in," said Gaw. "I'm thrilled with my latest win. It's great to join a posse of names that have won the NIBA title.

"I now have the Irish Championships to look forward to. That will be another big test, but it's one I aim to embrace."
