Giants retain netminding trio with new deals confirmed
Stephen Murphy and Jackson Whistle will again compete for the Belfast Giants' netminding slot after coach Adam Keefe confirmed new deals for the pair. And they will be joined by Ballymoney-born Andrew Dickson, who will provide back-up for an eighth successive season.
Murphy, 35, has signed on for a ninth season in Belfast while Whistle has returned to complete the second year of his term through the team's link with Ulster University.
"Stephen Murphy has been the Giants' backbone since 2009," said Keefe. "I am excited to have Jackson return, he was great for us in his first season. Andrew works hard and complements his goaltending counterparts well."
