Ireland are hoping star man Kyle can spark a gold rush

Ireland will today count on Andy Kyle to inspire the fours to gold medal success in the British Isles Men's Bowls Championships at the Watson Stadium.

Joined by his County Antrim team-mates Sam Barkley, Andy Duncan and Graham McKee, Kyle will aim to regain the title the Irish last won at Stanley Indoor Bowls Club back in 2015.

Ireland also have a gold medal hope in the Ladies Championships, with young Chloe Watson taking pride of place in the singles final, facing Scotland's Caroline Brown.


Today: Fours final: S Barkley, A Duncan, G McKee, A Kyle (Ireland) v J Fairhall, P Gandey, J Godfrey, R Moses (England).

Ladies triples final: P Dennis, S Hazell, W King (England) v C Watson, C Eadie, S Bailie (Ireland). Ladies fours final: M Wilkinson, W Adair, S McAuley, B Cameron (Ireland) v R MacDonald, C Greechan, D Moon, D Canavan (Channel Islands).
