Lennon leads a trio of Ulster wins in Canada
Three Ulster showjumpers have recorded wins at Spruce Meadows in Alberta, Canada.
Former world champion Dermott Lennon, on MJM Pursuit, won the 1.45m Friends of the Meadows Cup from a field of 95 starters in the Pan American five-star event, presented by Rolex.
Saintfield's Conor Swail, also in consistent form with GK Coco Chanel, took runner-up in the class in a time of 56.74, well behind Lennon's 53.84.
A prolific winner at Calgary, Derry's Daniel Coyle was one of 52 riders in the two-phase 1.45m class, where he won the 29-horse two-phase jump off despite wet weather.
Coyle partnered Leilani to claim first prize with an unbeatable time of 24.64.
His brother Jordan, on board his horse Picador, was two tenths of a second faster than Eduardo Menezes of Brazil to win the West Canadian Cup 1.45m class.
At the Knokke Show in Belgium, Ireland continued to dominate affairs when Offaly rider Darragh Kenny won the Rolex 500,000 euro Grand Prix from 46 entries.
Only six jumped off for the first prize of a new Audi car, Rolex watch and cash.
Kenny also took leading rider of the show and received a STX horse box on loan for a year.
