Lindberg and McCullagh get set for another battle

By David Kelly

The last time they met, the contest became a sham when it ended too early at the Ulster championships earlier this month and now Ryan Lindberg and Tyrone McCullagh seek Irish success.

When they did resume at Andersonstown Leisure Centre, Lindberg was given a controversial bantamweight final victory on a countback of punches and McCullagh’s camp were left fuming.

The Illies Golden Gloves man will be eager for revenge in this evening’s Irish Elite championships semi-final but don’t be surprised if it goes down to the wire once again and more controversy follows.

First up tonight is Belfast’s Ruairi Dalton who bids to make the flyweight final, while his super-heavyweight Holy Trinity team-mate is also in action along with McCullagh’s clubmate Willie McLoughlin.
