'Super Foot' Bill Wallace is on his way to Belfast

By Patrick Hamilton

Fighting Fit NI, a martial arts school in Belfast, established 15 years ago with a strong anti-bullying, cross-community ethos, is set to host one of the most famous names in the martial arts world, Bill 'Super foot' Wallace.

Since its inception, the club has produced numerous local, national, international and world champions, and helped children and adults achieve their coveted black belt status.

In 2013, Fighting Fit set up a cross-community non-profit venture "Martial arts for peace", in a bid to unite youth through martial arts discipline, primarily by hosting community events and seminars.

This Saturday, March 29, Grandmaster Bill 'Super Foot' Wallace, an ambassador for martial arts and kick boxing, flies in from the United States to host a seminar in the academy's Millar Street base.

Bill, a 10th degree black belt, and friend of martial arts legends Chuck Norris and Jackie Chan, is the former undefeated PKA world middleweight kick boxing champion.

As well as appearing extensively in the Hong Kong and Hollywood martial arts movie scene, he was also the personal trainer and bodyguard to Elvis Presley and John Belushi and has written a number of books on karate.

He earned his nickname as a result of only kicking with his left leg due to an injury suffered to his right.
