Four Ulster players are in the five-man Ireland squad for this weekend's European League Championships qualifier play-off in the new National Indoor Arena at Blanchardstown.

The Irish side, led by Ulster and Irish high performance coach John Murphy, will face Scotland, Norway and Bosnia over two days.

Paul McCreery and Zak Wilson, fresh from victory for Ulster Seniors in the Inter-Provincial Championships in Lisburn, are joined by Sweden-based Ashley Robinson, from Clogher, and Owen Cathcart, alongside Leinster's Gavin Maguire, who has been working in Ulster.

The victorious Ulster Senior side was completed by Peter Graham, Ashley Givan and Rebecca Finn, captained by Wallace Mahaffy, with Ulster Veterans grabbing yet another Masters Inter-Pro title, and the Under-21 side taking silver behind Munster.

Pride of place went to the Ulster duo of Daryl Strong (Vets) and Zak Wilson (Seniors) in being jointly awarded the Tommy Caffrey Trophy for the Best Player of the Championships.
