Ulster stars are aiming to serve up Irish victory

Ireland defend their Six Nations Senior title in Cardiff this weekend, and will depend on a strong Ulster contingent to bring home gold again.

Nottingham undergraduate Paul McCreery (Crossgar) teams up with Ashley Robinson (Clogher) and Dubliner Gavin Maguire in the men's side.

Ashley Givan (Dungannon), keen to impress the Commonwealth Selectors for the Glasgow Games, teams up with her Ulster partner Hanna Lynch-Dawson (Cavan) on her debut in the Irish Women's side. Hanna is Northern Ireland qualified and is also under consideration for Glasgow.

Ulster's High Performance Coach, John Murphy completes the Ulster-dominated Irish side as Chief Coach, as his squad faces England, Scotland, Guernsey, Jersey and Wales in the Cardiff National Sport Centre.

The top Irish players will be in action at QUB's PE Centre on November 23 for the Ulster Senior Open Championships and will be keen to impress with the Commonwealth Squad being finalised.
