Brendan Dolan is through to the third round of the World Darts Championship after causing a shock with his victory over the 14th seed.

European Championship semi-finalist Joe Cullen was heavily fancied to progress but was dumped 3-0 by the Fermanagh thrower, who dropped just a single leg on his way to victory.

The highlight of the match was this impressive 170 checkout that put Dolan two sets clear:

Dolan is yet to drop a set in this year's edition, having whizzed past qualifier Yuanjun Liu in the first round. He will now face either 19th seed Mervyn King or Jan Dekker in the last 32 on Sunday. A win in that game would take the 45-year-old deeper into the tournament than he has ever ventured before.

Fifth seed Daryl Gurney is still going having beaten Ross Smith 3-0 on Tuesday. He will now take on 28th seed Jamie Lewis on Saturday.

Tyrone's Micky Mansell and Ards man Kevin Burness are both out.
