Ballydoyle well represented in Staffordstown Stud Stakes

There may be a 22Ib range in the official ratings for the Listed Staffordstown Stud Stakes, but many of the connections involved will likely fancy their chances at Navan.

Epsom Derby hero Padraig Beggy gets his chance on Ballydoyle's Ballet Shoes and, according to the assessor, she should be there or thereabouts off her 102 perch.

Just 1lb ahead of her is stable companion Sizzling (Wayne Lordan). She narrowly holds Ballet Shoes on Naas form from a fortnight back.

For his father Aidan, Donnacha O'Brien is aboard Bye Bye Baby, and she can't be underestimated either on the back of her maiden success achieved at Newmarket eight days ago.

High-class hurdler Jer's Girl started off in Eugene Bourke's colours, and it could be that he's unearthed another good one now as Lady Camelot looked promising when scoring at the Listowel Harvest Festival.

The Staffordstown Stud Stakes is for juvenile fillies, whilst for the two-year-old colts earlier, the Listed Legacy Stakes will be run over nearly six furlongs.

Jessica Harrington is double-handed and Brother Bear could be the one with cheekpieces tried.

The Waterford Testimonial Stakes, a Listed sprint for three-year-olds and up, has attracted a strong field.

Ardhoomey has got the job done twice at Navan in the past, and perhaps he'll provide a win for title-chasing Colin Keane, and his boss Ger Lyons.
