Dolly chasing more Curragh lolly

Lolly For Dolly will bid for her second Pattern-race triumph of the season in the Big Bad Bob Gladness Stakes at the Curragh.

Tommy Stack's filly impressed in the Park Express Stakes at the track a couple of weeks ago and is turned out again quickly by connections.

The trainer's son and assistant, Fozzy, admits Lolly For Dolly faces a tougher task this weekend against the likes of dual Group One winner Regal Parade, but believes she might as well run while she remains in fine form.

"She seems in good order and she'll like the ground, so she might as well take her chance," said Stack.

"Regal Parade will be tough to beat. It's a better race than she won the last day, but she's very well and ready to go.

"She's coming back to seven furlongs, but she won a Group Three over seven last year. I'd prefer to be going a mile but she is a Group-race winner over seven, so we can't say it's a big inconvenience."

A nine-runner field also includes the Tracey Collins-trained Across The Rhine, who was a winner at Meydan in February.

The trainer told At The Races: "He had a very good campaign in Dubai and he seems to have come home in good form. I'm happy to run him. Every time he has won he's been ridden near the front, but we'll just see what happens on the day."

Eve Johnson Houghton's The Cheka and Emulous from the Dermot Weld stable are other major contenders.
