Haggas has total belief in gifted Sea Of Faith after impressive victory
William Haggas hopes it is onwards and upwards for Sea Of Faith after she turned what had been a frustrating campaign around with a decisive success in the British EBF Fillies' Handicap at Salisbury yesterday.
Suffering an odds-on defeat on her handicap debut at Newbury last time out, the daughter of Sea The Stars left that effort behind when powering clear by three lengths in the mile-and-a-half contest to complete a double on the card for James Doyle.
Haggas said of the 3-1 winner: "That was very pleasing. James felt he had the wrong instructions last time, but we made amends.
"She is a very nice filly and we are now finding the key to her. She is finally showing her talent, it has just taken about 18 months to get there.
"It looked to me like she would get further. There was three lengths between her and the runner-up and another six lengths back to the third in a competitive race, so it was a good effort.
"She is a nice staying filly. She will go up to stakes class now.
"It will be either a Listed or Group Three.
"At least we have got her season back on track," added the Newmarket handler.
