The Dot Love-trained Hard Bought can prove the best bet on tonight's Downpatrick card in the Randox Chase.

Well Joey looks the likely favourite but Goldmineinthesky could prove a big threat.

Castlebellingham, Monition, On Call and Trickey Trix make most appeal in the opening maiden hurdle and the former, locally-owned and trained by Denis Hogan, is taken to score.

Hogan can double up in the handicap hurdle with Classic Escape, a Ballinrobe winner last week. Sligo handler Mark McNiff has a great strike rate at the venue and Pump Road will be the danger to the selection, while Drimsree Lad should be noted in the betting. Manomine was the runaway winner of the Punchestown charity race for Armagh trainer Keith Watson and is capable of being placed.

Mister Capitano can register a winner for Champion trainer Willie Mullins in the Russell Auto Hurdle. Coolongolook, a £160,000 purchase now trained by Gordon Elliott, is the danger.

Little Light, Ocean Voyage and Dynamic Allen look the trio to focus on in the Coors Hurdle and the latter, trained beside the course by Brian Hamilton, is just preferred.

Change Your Story, trained by Peter Maher who enjoyed major success at Punchestown, can offer the value bet in the hunterchase, where the Bolger-trained Different Spot looks likely to start favourite.

Ask Henry and Legacy Thor were placed at the track last time, while the Elliott-trained newcomer Killinkere is certain to attract support. The Mullins-trained Think Positive needs to improve to be involved.

  • Cleonte can make his class tell in another thoroughly competitive renewal of the Sportpesa Chester Cup on the Roodee.

The six-year-old was good enough to win at Listed level and be placed in Group Three company when trained by Andre Fabre in France, but he has not really hit the same kind of heights since joining Andrew Balding.

However, victory at last year's Shergar Cup meeting seems to have marked a turnaround in his fortunes, with a creditable third in the Cesarewitch following last autumn.
