Hot favourite Idaho faces eight in St Leger

Ante-post favourite Idaho heads a final field of nine that will contest this year's Ladbrokes St Leger at Doncaster on Saturday.

The son of Galileo is one of three runners from the yard of Aidan O'Brien alongside Housesofparliament and Sword Fighter in the final Classic of the British season.

After finishing third in the Derby at Epsom and second in the Irish equivalent, Idaho warmed up for the extended mile-and-three-quarter contest with victory in the Great Voltigeur at York.

Heading the list of British challengers is the John Gosden-trained Muntahaa, who landed a Listed handicap at Chester on his most recent outing on what was just his fifth career start.

Ventura Storm, from the yard of Richard Hannon, will be looking to complete a hat-trick having won a Listed contest at Hamilton on his penultimate start before taking Group Three honours in France.

The field is completed by Harbour Law (Laura Mongan), Harrison (Mick Channon), Ormito (Andrew Balding) and The Tartan Spartan (Pat Shanahan).
