Paul Hanagan has landed the plum ride on Snow Fairy in Saturday's Emirates Airline Champion Stakes at Newmarket.
Champion jockey-elect Hanagan has been chosen by Ed Dunlop to partner the dual Oaks winner with Ryan Moore, Eddie Ahern and Richard Hughes, who have ridden the filly in the past, all unavailable.
Snow Fairy was last seen finishing fourth in the St Leger against the colts but steps back down half a mile in trip for this weekend's showpiece race.
“I'm delighted to have got the ride,” said Hanagan.
“Ed has been good to me for a lot of years now. I've ridden a fair few for him up north and I'm just absolutely delighted and it's very kind of him.
“Rides like this are what you need to take you up to the next level.
“She must have a decent chance, she's a dual Classic winner and I'm just really looking forward to it.
“I said a while ago that what Richard (Fahey) and I needed was a Group One horse and then Wootton Bassett came along and now I've got the ride on a Classic winner in one of the biggest races of the season.”
Await The Dawn has, been confirmed a likely starter.
Ballydoyle's unexposed colt will arrive in England chasing a hat-trick following fluent victories at Cork and Leopardstown.
