Nicholls' promising Copain will prove to be different Classe

By Anita Chambers

Copain De Classe should go well in the Sunbets Chase at Doncaster today.

He found Benatar too good at Ascot but, given he's gone on to Grade Two success, that may have been a decent run.

Paul Nicholls has been far from hard on Copain De Classe, with just six outings two years, but he looks full of potential.

Antartica De Thaix is also respected in the Sunbets Yorkshire Silver Vase Mares' Chase.

The seven-year-old made a return to action after a long absence at Market Rasen last month when second in a Listed race over three miles. Back over an extended two and a half miles, she'll take some stopping.

Kohinoor Diamond disappointed last time but could redeem herself in the Betway Stayer's Handicap at Southwell.

The three-year-old's record of one win in seven is hardly encouraging, but it is interesting to see her hiked up to two miles.
