Oxx has strong case at Dundalk

Dundalk's popular Friday evening fixture returns to the calendar today and the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Premier Nursery (6.30pm) carries the most prize money in the first of seven races on the card.

Natalisa hails from a fast family and showed plenty of speed to break through at Down Royal recently.

John Oxx has got plenty of room for manoeuvre with her initial handicap rating and she should confirm her superiority over David Wachman's Eastern Light, but Expire and Joint Decision have kept good company and will also be stepping out of maiden company for the first time on interesting marks.

Free Art heads the weights for the Auction Maiden — the second race of the meeting — and will appreciate having his sights lowered, although the same can be said for Glendaragh and Ballybacka Lady, while Scoot My Friend is an interesting newcomer to the scene.

The same applies to Haziyna and Oxx's Classic-entered juvenile begins her career in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden.

Compelling and Ciste Naisiunta are other debutantes to keep an eye on, with Compelling's stable-mate Emerald Ring and the Aidan O'Brien-trained Flavia Tatiana best of the raced brigade.

O'Brien's Great Wisdom must concede weight all round in the Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Handicap, including to three last-start winners, as well as in-form successful jumpers Gentleman Jeff and Keelaghan.
