Russell unscathed after fall

Davy Russell is none the worse having been unshipped from Sizing Machine after the finishing line at Ballinrobe on Monday night.

The champion National Hunt jockey expects to be back in action at the next jumps meeting at Tramore on Thursday following his tumble.

He was ditched from the saddle when steering the Henry de Bromhead-trained four-year-old into fourth place behind Font Of Wisdom in the two-mile maiden hurdle.

He admitted feeling his shoulder when hanging on to the reins despite taking a tumble, but reported no ill-effects on Tuesday morning.

Russell said: "I'm OK. I just twisted my shoulder when I hung on to the reins when I was on the ground, but it's all right now. I imagine I'll be riding on Thursday at Tramore."
