Viztoria primed for Classic tilt

Eddie Lynam reports Viztoria on course for the Etihad Airways Irish 1,000 Guineas at the Curragh on Sunday.

The once-beaten filly was highly impressive on her three-year-old reappearance in the Athasi Stakes at the Kildare track earlier this month.

Her only defeat came when she was a length second to Penny's Picnic in a Group Two at Maisons-Laffitte in November.

As in her past three starts, Johnny Murtagh will take the ride at the weekend.

Lynam said: "She is in good form. We'll be declaring her on Friday and Johnny Murtagh will ride. She'll run whatever the ground."

The winner of her debut at Naas last July when trained by Ado McGuinness, the daughter of Oratorio stepped up to Listed level on her first start for Lynam to win the Blenheim Stakes at the Curragh in September.
