Warrior bid a going concern

Tony Martin insists Bog Warrior will not be heading to the Cheltenham Festival unless Prestbury Park gets some rain during the next couple of weeks.

The eight-year-old, who has won three of his four starts over fences, features among the entries for the Racing Post Arkle, the Jewson Novices' Chase and the RSA Chase over distances ranging from two to three miles.

He showed he had suffered no ill effects from a fall over Christmas when winning at Naas last month, but Martin will not make a decision on his participation until nearer the time.

"He's grand, but we don't know where he'll run at the moment and it will all depend on the ground," said Martin.

"There is no target set. He's entered in everything, but he won't go to Cheltenham unless we get some rain.

"He's entered in most places and we'll leave a decision on Cheltenham as late as possible."
