Reigning World Superbike champion Jonathan Rea emerged from Thailand satisfied with a hard-fought win and a narrow defeat.
Rea was edged into second place at the Buriram circuit by Kawasaki team-mate Tom Sykes on Sunday by 0.19 seconds having claimed Saturday's race one ahead of Sykes by 0.222secs.
Northern Irishman Rea told www.worldsbk.com: "I'm happy to leave here with 45 points. I did everything I could, but when he's riding on point and also defending so well, it was impossible to take the race win today."
Race two proved to be a British clean sweep with Ducati's Chaz Davies finishing third after his fourth place on Saturday.
Rea heads the series standings on 95 points from Sykes on 66.
