Ulster captain Rory Best knows few people expect his side to secure victory against Racing 92 in the Champions Cup tonight in Paris (5.30pm kick-off) but insists his side feel they are a match for anyone on their day.

"It didn't used to matter where we went, we felt we could win and I think there is that belief back again," he said.

"Racing have world-class players all across. But that's European rugby and that's the challenge whenever you go away to the No.1 seeds in your pool.

"At the tail end of last year we made a decision, a conscious decision, to try and enjoy some rugby and fire some shots, and if it doesn't come off it doesn't come off, but at least we'll go out swinging, and that has carried through into this year."

Ulster have travelled without John Cooney due to the shoulder injury suffered by their key scrum-half. In his place, Dave Shanahan will start in the No.9 jersey.
