Argentina make three changes ahead of Scotland match

Argentina head coach Santiago Phelan has made three changes ahead of the second Test against Scotland next Saturday.

Following the 26-14 defeat in Tucuman, Phelan decided to keep faith with the majority of his squad as they aim to avoid back-to-back defeats at the Estadio Jose Maria Minella in Mar del Plata.

Beagles Bordeaux winger Rafael Carballo, Tucuman RC second rower Santiago Guzman and Dax scrum-half Nicolas Vergallo join the squad.

London Irish scrum-half Alfredo Lalanne, Montpellier prop Juan Figallo and Universitario La Plata second rower Mariano Galarza drop out.

Phelan has warned his players they will have to improve dramatically before Saturday's game.

"We have many aspects of the game to improve, such as discipline and the number of penalties we gave away," he said.

"However, we had some good movements in the first half, we took the initiative and scored two tries.

"Anyway, we failed to keep possession and we were tired from defending too much."

Argentina squad: Horacio Agulla (Leicester), Lucas Borges (Albi), Rafael Carballo (Beagles Bordeaux), Felipe Contepomi (Toulon), Santiago Fernandez (Montpellier), Agustin Figuerola (CASI), Lucas Gonzalez-Amorosino (Leicester), Ignacio Mieres (Stade Francais), Martin Rodriguez (Stade Francais), Gonzalo Tiesi (Stade Francais); Patricio Albacete (Stade Toulousian), Marcos Ayerza (Leicester), Alejandro Campos (Montauban), Manuel Carizza (Biarritz Olympique), Agustin Creevy (San Luis), Juan Fernandez-Lobbe (Toulon), Genaro Fessia (Cordoba Athletic), Mario Ledesma (Clermont), Juan-Manuel Leguizamon (Stade Francais), Rodrigo Roncero (Stade Francais), Martin Scelzo (Clermont), Santiago Guzman (Tucuman RC), Nicolas Vergallo (Dax).
