Ashley-Cooper set for Waratahs move

Brumbies and Australia utility Adam Ashley-Cooper has agreed to join the NSW Waratahs from next season.

The outside centre will hold a press conference in Canberra on Tuesday to confirm his seventh campaign with the Brumbies will be his last.

Ashley-Cooper signed a new two-year-deal with Australian Rugby Union last month but opted not to declare his Super Rugby allegiance because he wanted to weigh up 'personal circumstances'.

It is understood his desire to be closer to his girlfriend was the major contributing factor behind Ashley-Cooper's decision.

The 27-year-old's departure is a major blow for the Brumbies who have lost their previous four Super Rugby matches.
