Bath stretched their unbeaten run in the Aviva Premiership to five games - but it took two second-half penalties from centre Olly Barkley to seal the game as they recorded a 12-9 victory over Exeter at Sandy Park.

Exeter named an unchanged starting line-up from the side that won at Newcastle as the visitors had Jack Cuthbert on the right wing, in for England wing Matt Banahan, while Ben Williams was at outside centre in place of Matt Carraro.

The home side made a fantastic start and went ahead through an early Gareth Steenson penalty, to which Barkley replied with one of his his own. Steenson scored two more penalties - with one in reply - as the Chiefs took a 9-6 half-time lead before Barkley hit back after the break.
