Barnes gets nod at fly-half

Australia coach Robbie Deans has named Berrick Barnes at fly-half for Saturday night's Test against New Zealand.

Barnes was preferred ahead of Quade Cooper, with the Queensland Reds fly-half left out of the squad altogether as he continues his recovery from knee surgery.

In the only other changes to the Wallabies side that defeated Wales in the third Test in Sydney in June, Dave Dennis replaces the injured Wycliff Palu in the back row while Anthony Fainga'a comes in for Pat McCabe.

Radike Samo, Drew Mitchell and Nick Phipps win recalls to the bench - the latter winning the reserve half-back spot ahead of Nic White.
