Barrett kicks Hurricanes to win
Beauden Barrett kicked 20 points as the Hurricanes claimed their first win over the Bulls since 2008.
The South African outfit scored two tries through Jurgen Visser and Handre Pollard, but Barrett's boot meant Andre Taylor's try was enough to give the Hurricanes a 25-20 victory.
Jacques-Louis Potgieter also kicked eight points for the Bulls, with Pollard adding a conversion.
A Barrett penalty had the Hurricanes ahead and they scored their first try after 15 minutes as the fly-half kicked across field and Cory Jane palmed the ball into the path of Taylor who went over. Barrett added the extras.
Barrett and Potgieter then exchanged two penalties each to make it 16-6 before the Bulls got their first score through Visser.
The full-back's kick into the 22 was fumbled by James Broadhurst and Visser was on hand to collect and power over.
Potgieter's conversion meant the gap was just three points at the break.
Barrett extended that to six in the 65th minute, but two minutes later the Bulls took the lead for the first time.
The South Africans were attempting a rolling maul, but when that ground to a halt the ball came out to the backs and it was Pollard who spotted a gap and crossed under the posts.
The replacement slotted the conversion, but the lead was short-lived as the trusty boot of Barrett once again edged the New Zealanders ahead.
And it was Barrett who had the final say as he slotted his sixth penalty in the final minute to seal the win.
