Brain returns to Gloucester

Former Gloucester assistant coach John Brain is to return to Kingsholm as a scout.

Brain made almost 300 appearances for the Cherry and Whites as a player and was then assistant to Philippe Saint-Andre before leaving to guide Worcester to promotion to the Premiership.

"Bryan (Redpath, head coach) first approached me a few weeks ago to talk about this role. He and Carl (Hogg) obviously spent much of their week working in a coaching capacity," said Brain. "He explained that there is a requirement to help identify the right sort of talent in certain areas of the squad, and that's where I'll be helping out until the end of the season."
