Brian has big names in frame for Scarlets

By Niall Crozier

Ulster have included most of their big names for Friday night’s Magners League joust with Scarlets in Llanelli.

Ireland’s Rory Best and Stephen Ferris are rested, but Tom Court, Paddy Wallace and Andrew Trimble are in the 27-man squad which will be trimmed to 22 tomorrow.

So too is Scotland wing, Simon Danielli.

And with a Magners League top four spot the goal, the significantly improving injury situation has arrived at just the right time with fit-again Willie Faloon and fellow-back row forward Robbie Diack featuring.

And Ballynahinch starlet, Nevin Spence is included too, underlining his progress.

Coach Brian McLaughlin will be hoping that the spectre of Ulster’s away form doesn’t reappear in their trip to the principality.

There has been a notable improvement in performances away from Ravenhill and McLaughlin stresses that that must continue.

“We have to go to the Scarlets really positive about our own ability to win away from home,” he said. “There can be no doubt that we have been improving our away performances, it is something that we talked about at the beginning of the season, but we have to go to Llanelli and be accurate with everything we do.

“It is going to be very, very tough, they have an experienced squad and we'll have to be clinical with the chances we create and come away with the right result."
