The Bulls have agreed terms with Griquas to bring South Africa winger Bjorn Basson to the province at the end of the season.
The 23-year-old is the leading try scorer in the domestic Currie Cup competition this season, where he has scored 14 tries to propel his unfancied team into semi-final contention.
"Bjorn has signed his contract and is a Blue Bull from November 1," Griquas chief executive officer Arni van Rooyen told www.supersport.com.
The Super 14 and Currie Cup champions have lacked depth on the wing after Bryan Habana left for the Stormers and promising young star Gerhard van den Heever suffered an injury.
Van Rooyen conceded that losing one of his prized assets was a blow, but said the Griquas were left with little choice.
He added: "Bjorn is a very good player and the Bulls were very professional in the manner that they approached us to negotiate with him.
"We don't want to lose him but rugby is a business and the decision was the best for all parties concerned.
"He is one of the best finishers in the country."
