Canes suffer Shark bite in Durban

JP Pietersen scored two tries as the Sharks made it five successive home wins against the Hurricanes in Super Rugby with a 32-15 victory at Kings Park Stadium.

The hosts bagged 29 straight points in a 30-minute spell as the South Africans outscored the visiting Australians by four tries to two, with Michael Claasens and Daniel du Preez getting on the scoresheet alongside Pietersen. Garth April and Pat Lambie also added a penalty and conversion apiece.

Beauden Barrett's penalty and Reggie Goodes' opening try looked to have put the visitors on their way before the Sharks' onslaught, which ended with full-back James Marshall grabbing a consolation try and substitute Jason Woodward kicking the extras as they finished their travels with defeat.
