Cheika faces hearing

Stade Francais rugby director Michael Cheika will face a disciplinary hearing next month to answer misconduct complaints that arose from the Amlin Challenge Cup final in Cardiff on May 20.

Stade lost the game to Harlequins after Quins triumphed through a late Gonzalo Camacho try that fly-half Nick Evans converted.

The first complaint against former Leinster boss Cheika centres on comments during half-time and/or after the game he made to or near a match official, while the second centres on remarks made after the game finished to a European Rugby Cup employee.

He has been summoned to attend a hearing in Dublin on July 19, when the matter will be dealt with by an independent three-man disciplinary committee.
