Ballynahinch know the score in bid to retain SONI Ulster League title

By Ronnie Ingram

To retain their SONI Ulster League title, Ballynahinch need a bonus-point victory in each of their final two games and must also hope that Ballymena earn no more than four points in their last outing against City of Derry.

At present, Ballymena have 12 points from three games while Hinch are on six but Armagh, with 10 points from three contests, are still in contention should they defeat Hinch at Ballymacarn Park this evening (kick-off 8pm).

Hinch know what is at stake so will be fielding a much stronger team than the one that gained a bonus point in the 24-3 victory over Malone at home last Thursday evening.

No.8 Michael Graham will be back in action along with Irish Sevens players Aaron Cairns and David McGuigan. Craig Trenier, David Busby and Jonny Simpson have been released to play but captain Paul Pritchard has been selected for the Club International side, so he is unavailable.

The other two ties to be played are City of Derry v Ballynahinch and Ballymena v City of Derry.
