Portadown looking to exact revenge on Clogher Valley

Clogher Valley eliminated Portadown from both the Junior and Towns' Cups last season so the Chambers Park team are out for revenge in the All Ireland Junior Cup quarter-final.

But Clogher are not the team they were, having suffered a number of injuries, especially to their half-backs, combined with a number of retirements.

In consequence they are still awaiting their first success in Kukri Division 1 whereas Portadown are undefeated after six fixtures.

Holders of the Irish Junior Cup Enniscorthy, who defeated Instonians in last season's final 23-7, will start favourites to eliminate Ballyclare.

Having won the competition twice in the past three seasons they are undefeated in Leinster 1A whereas 'Clare's record has been disappointing having won three of their five Kukri Div 1 fixtures and lost to Coleraine (22-0) in the Junior Cup last Saturday.

The other ties are Ashbourne v Bandon and DLSP v Galbally.
