Towns' Cup holders Clogher Valley book final with Ballynainch

The Powerade Towns' Cup holders Clogher Valley will face Ballynahinch II in the final at Kingspan on Easter Monday. They trailed Ballymena II 17-3 at half-time but dominated the second period to emerge 24-17 victors while last season's finalists Donaghadee lost at Ballnahinch II 22-5.

"It was all one way traffic in the second half as Ballymena were unable to provide enough possession for their strong back line," stated Clogher manager Ritchie Haire.

"This was a brilliant effort by us. People have been writing us off and saying we're not as good as previous years and now we have proved them wrong as this was not the strongest team we took to Ballymena. To come back from such a deficit shows our strength of character".

Kyle Cobain and David Sharkey, following good work by Aaron Best, scored the other two tries for Paul Armstrong to convert all three and kick a penalty. The yellow card shown to Ballymena's Callum Patterson in the second half was the turning point. They had Mark Foster and John Nicholl tries and Patterson goaled both and added a penalty.
