Colin McEntee's U-19 Ulster stars taking aim at French

Ten Ulster players have been named in the 35-strong PwC Ireland Under-19 squad for two matches against their French counterparts.

Coach Colin McEntee has included 16 members of the squad beaten by Australia Schools at Ravenhill in December, plus five who represented Ireland in the 2014 Under-20s Six Nations.

The Ulster players are Josh Bingham, Michael Lagan, Alex Thompson and Steven Weir (all Methodist College), Josh Davidson and Ross Todd (both Sullivan Upper), Lorcan Dow (Queen's University), Angelo Marica (Belfast Harlequins), Jack Owens (Campbell College) and Conor Young (Instonians).

McEntee's assistant-coach is Nigel Carolan while Barney McGonigle will manage the side.

The first of the two games against France – both at St Mary's, Templeville Road – is on Thursday, April 17 with the second being played on Tuesday, April 22 (both 2pm).
