Dragons release Jones

The Newport Gwent Dragons have released fly-half Matthew Jones with immediate effect to allow him to join Bristol for the remainder of the season.

The 27-year-old Wales cap has found opportunities limited by the form of Jason Tovey, making just seven appearances this season, and has been allowed to move on in order to get first-team rugby.

Dragons rugby director Robert Beale said "We would like to thank Matthew for his contribution at the Dragons and wish him luck for the rest of the season and the future."
